History

  • Built at the Dennis factory in Guildford, Surrey early in 1956
  • It first went into service at Station B24 Homerton, where it served until 1976 as their Pump Escape
  • It was then transferred to Southwark Training School until disposal in 1979
  • Extensive renovation and restoration work has been carried out over its retired life
  • This is the only roadworthy survivor of its type

  • Powered by a massive Rolls Royce 12.2 litre C6 unit, more commonly found in shunting locomotives and tank transporters
